The conditions in Diani are ideal with two major winds providing great opportunities for both Kite and Wind Surfing. The Kaskazi blows onshore from the North and is commonly known as the Baridi (Cold) in Kiswahili, which blows steadily from around mid December through to the end of February, blowing between 15 and 25 knots. The Kuzi – the second less strong of the trade winds – blows onshore from the South and is also known as the Monsoon and reaches a range of 10 to 22 knots.
